A ‘hinge’ mechanism that intrinsically links colonial to postcolonial relations, past and present is explored within this work. The Guadalcanal Club was an expatriate social club in Honiara from the 1960s to mid-1990s. Built on the structure of an American World War II quonset hut it was designed in 1960.
