Rajzok/ Drawings (1999 - 2000)
While living in Budapest, Hungary, Stevenson practiced from a studio located on Hajógyári Sziget, an island on the Danube. During that time she produced several sketchbooks of small drawings in response to the environment, referencing the bleak winter and a melancholy Hungarian atmosphere.
Daily Bread:
Produced daily in a small sketchbook using collected paper bread labels baked onto the surfaces of loaves in local bakeries throughout Budapest. The drawings use coffee and pencil. They reflect on the sparse winter environment in which they were made and the hardships of living for many in Hungary.
